Is the Carnivore Diet Good for You?

When starting this company in 2016, I felt morally guilty. Just like everyone else, I thought that red meat was bad for you & that raising cows was unsustainable. These two beliefs couldn’t be further from the truth. Carnivore diet is the ultimate diet to restore your health!

This in depth post will cover two topics:

A. How to raise cows to regenerate landscapes
B. Beef or the carnivore diet is the optimal diet for human health.

In this article, I will answer the following questions

Be prepared, the information below will shock you.

Is eating red meat bad for you?

Simply put, no.

TLDR: Fat does not make you fat!

Looking at studies (not surveys) of 400,000 people, it was actually found that saturated fats are beneficial to humans & cardiovascular health.

Don’t believe me? Look at this chart:

*Source: National Center for Health Statistics (US). Health, United States, 2008: With Special Feature on the Health of Young Adults. Hyattsville (MD): National Center for Health Statistics (US); 2009 Mar. Chartbook. Kris Gunnars

100 years ago, cardiovascular disease was almost unheard of.

And as you can see above, one can easily eliminate animal fats as the cause of our public health crisis.

So you may now ask…

What is the real cause of underlying illnesses in Western Diets? Or what should you avoid to stay healthy?

Toxic Food #1: Seed Soils

Stay away from vegetable (a.k.a. seed) oils!

All plants have defenses, and this is especially true when it comes to seeds.

This includes any oils taken from seeds. Sunflower, safflower, hazelnut, canola oil, these are all toxic to people!

Vegetable oils are in fact seed oils. At one time seed soils were used as industrial lubricant. This is now a $100 billion industry that will not be going away anytime soon.

Seed oils contain high concentrations of lectins, plant cytotoxins that defend against being eaten.

These seed oils are toxic to your nervous system, leading to neuro degenerative disorders, fatigue & obesity

How? Seed oils smooth out the cell walls of your mitochondria. With less surface area, your mitochondria are unable to produce ATP.

Toxic Food #2: Processed Sugar

Obesity, diabetes,  and irritable bowel syndrome  are all caused by a diet predominantly consisting of easily digested carbohydrates.

Otherwise, known as sugar.

This eventually leads to auto-immune diseases

Sugar is the real killer, and it’s in everything we eat.

Carbohydrates are also sugar.

Alcohol is condensed sugar.

And fructose (fruit) is 7 times more toxic than processed sugar.

As you get older, people get what is known as metabolic syndrome.

This is an overload of omega-6 (linoleic acid) that builds up in your fat over time.

First causing leaky gut, then glucose outside the digestive system causes inflammation, and this inflammation eventually leads to cancer.

Modern medicine, assumes it is inevitable that as we get older, we gain weight & begin to break down.

This does not have to be the case…

Sugar, metabolic syndrome, and cancer

Toxic Food #3: LectinsPotatoes, Tomato, Eggplant aka Lectins

Yes, we’re back to lectins.

However, did you know that the “nightshade” family (Solanaceae) contains a high amount of lectins.

In case you missed it above, lectins are detrimental to human health.

Society used to be aware of this (look up the history of nightshade).

If you’ve ever been to Italy, you will know that passata is made by removing all skins & seeds from tomatoes, and then slow cooking/simmering all day.

Unless you’re cooking your potatoes, tomatoes & eggplant for longer than 40 min., you are essentially poisoning yourself!

What is the carnivore diet?

The carnivore diet is what it sounds like,

a diet based 100% on animals, namely grass-fed beef.

This diet eliminates all plants & carbohydrates.

To most people, eliminating all plants & carbohydrates may sound crazy.

However, beef is packed full of protein, essential amino acids, vitamins A, B6, B12, D, E, Iron, Zinc, Selenium + fat that absorbs vitamins A, D, E, and K.

Now, think about it.

The current western human diet is primarily carbohydrate & dairy-based + the use of vegetable aka seed oils for cooking.

This change only occurred in the last 100 years…

And look at the general health of our society.

WE ARE THE MOST UNHEALTHY SOCIETY TO EVER EXIST!

So how can you return to optimum health?

It’s called the carnivore diet or keto diet.

How do I start a carnivore/keto diet?

Your overall goal should be to reach metabolic flexibility

This can be done with a combination of intermittent fasting & changing your diet.

As a person who has been on the keto diet for years, here are the things I’ve learned to get you started.

  1. Meet your daily requirement of protein & fat ->

The minimum amount of protein required for adults is roughly 0.8g of protein per kg standing body weight (this may vary depending on factors such as age, sex, muscle mass, and physical activity).

Keep in mind this does not include visceral fat

What about fat? You should get an even amount of protein & fat. But be careful where you get your fat from!

For vegetarians– you will have to depend heavily on eggs. To gain the maximum health benefit, be sure to eat the egg yoke as runny as possible!

  2. Eliminate all seed oils & tainted foods ->

Avoid cooking with all vegetable oils!

    What cooking oils are safe?

Avocado oil, coconut oil, butter & beef fat.

You will want to avoid pork & bird fats, as these animals are monogastric.

When fed with soy bean & corn, these fats contain harmful omega-6 (linoleic acid).

Tainted foods? Stick to natural foods. The general rule I use, if its in plastic packaging, don’t buy it.

  3. Get your vitamins
The best source of bio-available nutrients is beef liver.

Ruminant organs are an amazing source of nutrition, and though cooking organs is a modern day faux-paus, kidney, tongue & heart….

Are both cheap & superfoods, containing amazing amounts of micro-nutrients.

  4. Reduce your carbohydrates (sugar) to 30-50g per day
    Sugar
    is the silent enemy.

If you go to the store, you will find a majority of products contain sugar or vegetable oils.

Sugar is one of the most addictive substances on the planet. More addictive than heroin, cocaine or any of the top 10 class A drugs.

So what to avoid. All processed sugars, including bread, pasta, rice & anything with added sugars.

Thankfully, recent research has shown that whole fruit, along with natural honey & raw dairy are all safe to consume on a keto diet (go easy if you’re diabetic)

This will be the hardest thing you have to do!

The first 3-4 weeks may seem intolerable. But once you’ve gotten past the point of your addiction to sugar the positive benefits are amazing!

Remove brain fog, get your energy back the whole day, and begin to get addicted to feeling good.

It took me years to get over sugar addiction.

If you do cut all carbs, it will be necessary to take a couple of grams of salt a day.

A small amount of carbs will keep up your electrolyte levels, whereas with no carbs, you will need to increase your uptake of salt.

  5. Switch to Cast Iron or Neutral Cookware

    Teflon causes cancer.

Switch to cast iron pans (I was able to find a couple iron cast pans at TK Maxx).

Induction stovetop? No worries, induction works best with ferrous metals, your cast iron pan will work better than fine.

Some final tips..

The first is to join a community of other keto dieters.

Breaking sugar (carb) addiction will be one of the hardest things to do in your adult life.

I created this telegram channel to send out up to date information on keto diet ->

Join holistic health support telegram channel

One trick I used, was to eat Greek yogurt, forest berries (raspberry), and cinnamon whenever I would get sugar cravings.

Second, try intermittent fasting.

Give your digestion system a break & try learning when you’re actually hungry vs. when your brain panics.

What are your sources of information?

With all the disinformation nowadays, it is vitally important we name our sources, in order to facilitate healthy debate.

If any vegans come across this article, they may be offended.

But let me remind them of two things.

  1. It’s not the COW, it’s the HOW -> monoculture fields of vegetables are just as detrimental to the soil as Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs)
  2. We do not advocate forcing people to change diets, but  we do encourage you to keep an open mind. Believing in something without questioning your beliefs, is dogma. Find reliable sources of information, and check the information yourself.

So where did the information from this article come from?

First, here is a holistic health playlist which we hope will lead to a better understanding of how your diet is the key factor to your health.

A bit of backstory.

When not running Steak Club, I have another company called Social Karma, a digital marketing business specializing in building online sales funnels with 300% ROAS.

I use these skills to promote worthy causes, mostly helping farmers connect with end clients (farm-to-table).

Over the winter of 2020-2021, I lived & worked with a company called .

Run by a holistic doctor, Dr. Karl Ingemar Svensson, the company provides preventative diagnostics, helping to regenerate people’s health.

How? As this blog post has shown, 90%+ of modern health problems are caused by nutrient deficient diets & a lifetime of chronic poisoning.

What I saw here…at first I couldn’t believe. Reversing strokes, cancers, you name it, everything can be healed by giving your body proper nutrition.

Where Dr. Svensson and I disagreed was the best way to do this.

While Dr. Svensson advocated using a mega dose of dietary supplements…

I on the other hand, believe in using optimal diets, or the keto / carnivore diet to fix my leaky gut, eliminate sugar eating bacteria in my micro-biome & return to full health.

In the end, it just so happened, our interests aligned, Dr. Svensson regenerates people, I regenerate planet & people.

Grass-fed beef is the best food to return to optimal health!

In the next article, I will discuss “How I survived on $100 a month in California“, with intermittent fasting, Mexican markets and cheap keto by eating beef liver, skirt steak, eggs & butter.
