Is the carnivore diet good for you?

When starting this company in 2016, I felt morally guilty.

Just like everyone else, I thought that red meat was bad for you & that raising cows was unsustainable.

These two opinions couldn’t be further from the truth.

From that time, I’ve now learned

1. How to raise cows sustainably (I will cover this in our next article)…
2. The truth about how diets affect human health.

After all, as Hippocrates once said “You are what you eat”…

And we are the most unhealthy society in history.

In this article, I  will address the claims that red meat is bad for you

And provide information about the carnivore diet.

The results will surprise you!

Is eating red meat bad for you?

Simply put, no.

Published on August, 2020 from the Journal of American College of Cardiology (JACC),

this aggregate review overturns decades of misinformation.

Fat does not make you fat!

Looking at studies (not surveys) of 400,000 people, it was actually found that saturated fats are beneficial to humans & cardiovascular health.

Don’t believe us? Look at this chart:

*Source: National Center for Health Statistics (US). Health, United States, 2008: With Special Feature on the Health of Young Adults. Hyattsville (MD): National Center for Health Statistics (US); 2009 Mar. Chartbook. Kris Gunnars

And then, compare this with Western (and now Chinese) rates of obesity.

Remember, we are the most unhealthy society to yet exist…

One can easily eliminate animal fats as the cause of the epidemic.

So you may now ask…

What is the real cause of underlying illnesses?

Sugar is the real killer, and it’s in everything we eat.

Carbohydrates are also sugar.

Alcohol is condensed sugar.

And fructose (fruit) is 7 times more toxic than processed sugar.

This information will undoubtedly come as a shock to most.

However, it’s the chronic stress which affects us the most.

Sugar, metabolic syndrome, and cancer

Now, if you really think about it, the current human diet is primarily carbohydrate and dairy-based.

This change only occurred in the last 100 years…

And look at the general health of our society.

Thus to return to health…

There is the carnivore diet.

What is the carnivore diet?

The carnivore diet is what it sounds like,

a diet based 100% on animals, namely grass-fed beef.

This diet eliminates all plants & carbohydrates.

To most people, eliminating all plants and carbohydrates may sound crazy.

Where do you get your essential vitamins from?

Red meat is packed full of protein, essential amino acids, vitamins A, B6, B12, D, E, Iron, Zinc, Selenium + fat that absorbs vitamins A, D, E, and K.

Another common misconception is that the carnivore diet is based only on protein.

In fact, animal fats and offal or sweet meats (organ meats) are just as important as protein.

Fats are the most bio-available & energy-dense source of food for humans.

Offal (eg.  liver) for example, contains protein, vitamin A, B2, B6, B9, B12, vitamin C, choline, cooper, iron and selenium.

There is a huge amount of information out there,

But to get you started,

We’ve left below a couple of youtube channels to experts in human diet and health.

Still think this is a crazy diet to follow?

Here are a 2 two reasons why it may not be so crazy…

Why is the carnivore diet good for you?

The argument for switching to a carnivore  diet can be broken down into two sub-arguments.

1. The Carnivore Diet was our Ancestors’ Diet.

Homo-sapiens have been around for roughly 200000 years

Around 12000 years ago homo-sapiens began farming (arguably the worst thing to happen to homo-sapiens)

What diet did we eat before this?

Sure we foraged for nuts, forest berries, and mushrooms

But our primary nutrient source was animal fats, organs and protein.

Otherwise known as the carnivore diet.

This is theorized to be what caused the rapid brain development

With organs, fats, and proteins containing the most energy dense food (vs. plants).

2. Evidence-based research supports the carnivore diet

As shown above, meat, fat and organs have all the nutrients your body needs.

However, there are a couple of things to remember.

Cows and other ruminants (goat, sheep, deer) etc., have the ability to ferment their food in one stomach, puking this out and digesting this once again.

What is the purpose of this? These animals are able to change Omega-6 fatty acids to Omega-3s.

Ruminants have the ability to change these fatty acids;

Why is this important?

Modern agriculture feeds animals on grains and soybeans.

Chickens & pigs do not have this ability.

Furthermore, the current agricultural system is contaminated with antibiotics & stress hormones.

And while fish is promoted on the carnivore diet, stick to eating fish once a week.

Ocean caught fish has high levels of mercury

And fish farms of salmon are rife with antibiotics.

To be safe, stick to eating grass-fed ruminants for maximum nutrition.

Just as a side note, in Poland there is good access to game meat.

(Check out --> Dziki Trop if you’ve not heard of them).

As deer and boar are not part of the agricultural system,
This meat is safe to eat.

Be sure to mix with suet (hard fat) to get the energy you need.

Where do you get your information from?

If any vegans come across this article, they may be offended.

But let me remind them of two things.

  1. It’s not the COW, it’s the HOW -> monoculture fields of vegetables are just as detrimental to the soil as Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations  (CAFOs)
  2. We do not advocate forcing people to change diets, but  we do encourage you to keep an open mind, find reliable sources of information, and check the information yourself.

So where did the information from this article come from?

When not running Steak Club, I have another company called Social Karma, a digital marketing business specializing in building online sales funnels.

Over the past 6 months we have been working with a company called Scandinavian Nutrients.

Run by a holistic doctor, Dr. Ingemear Svensson, the company provides preventative diagnostics, helping to heal people using the keto / carnivore diet + dietary supplements.

It just so happened, our interests aligned.

We sell grass-fed beef (with plans to raise our own cows).

The ideal diet for human health.

So what have we learned in 6 months?

In all honesty, probably too much.

The majority of foods in the supermarket are mildly toxic to humans.

Over a lifetime, chronic illnesses take over.

Leading to the most unhealthy society in history.

So where do these dangers come from?

Toxic Food #1: Sugar

Obesity, diabetes,  and irritable bowel syndrome  are all caused by a diet predominantly consisting of easily digested carbohydrates.

Otherwise, known as sugar.

This eventually leads to auto-immune diseases

Toxic Food #2: Seed Oils

One more thing to scare you (knowing the whole truth can be hard sometimes)

Stay away from vegetable (a.k.a. seed) oils!

These  are toxic to your nervous system, leading to neuro degenerative disorders.

Diseases of Civilization: Are Seed Oil Excesses the Unifying Mechanism?

Toxic Food #3: Lectins

The last thing to watch out for are something called lectins

These are found in vegetables of the nightshade family.

If you’ve made it this far, how about a bonus?

Write to us at contact@steakclub.pl  and tell us the 3 fruits/vegetables that contain lectins.
In return we will give you free shipping on your next order.

How to boost your immune system and return to optimum health?

To get people healthy again, it is recommended to switch to a carnivore diet, and then put people on a custom intake of dietary supplements.

With a good diet, and replacing the missing micro-nutrients people need..it is possible to return even the most sick back to health.

After all, it was Hippocrates who said “You are what you eat.”

To end this article on a high note…

There are communities of people out there.

Search for keto diet support group or carnivore diet support group.

We in fact have started a keto support group in Warsaw (write to us at carnivore@steakclub.pl if you would like to join).
